If I Never Make It Home
If I never make it home my friend
I just want you to know
I'm glad our paths somehow have met
For I've grown to love you so
I found you dying in the street
And nursed you until now
You never gave up the will to live
You're my hero and my pal
So I will try to do my time
And be strong the same as you
And do my best to take you home
When my duty here is through
But if I never make it home
I have the greatest friend
And I will never feel alone
If I never make it home again
