Look Away

I gaze at flocks of birds in sight
And as blue skies turn to gray
I close my eyes and have happy thoughts
Of my memories of yesterday

When people always seemed to care
And kids would gently play
But now when I see what's going on
I just have to LOOK AWAY

Whatever happened to tenderness
And the true meaning of Charlottes Web
When a simple fight was shocking
And angry words were seldom said

Yes, we thought it last forever my friend
But what a price we'd pay
For all we took for granted
It just makes me LOOK AWAY
