I didn't wear my wedding band
On the second finger of my hand
When someone noticed and said to me
That isn't right they'll think you're free
I replied:
I wear my gold ring in my heart
And promised that we'd never part
And that's where it will always stay
Every minute of every day
A wedding band on your hand
Can be slipped off at anytime
But in my heart of hearts I know
What is and isn't mine
So I know who I really love
And knew that from the start
You wear your ring upon your hand
I'll wear mine in my heart
